LaPORTE—Speaker Tim W. Cavinder made the following statement after the passing of Bob Knight, former Indiana University basketball coach.
It is with heavy hearts that we impart the news this evening of the passing of Bobby Knight, former IU basketball couch. A true Hooiser legend, we at The House of Commons bow our heads in respect to the Knight family and all the IU Basketball fans everywhere. Bobby was known to Our House of Commons member Timothy W Cavinder while he worked at Jankos in Bloomington IN during the late 80's and into the 1990's. Our thoughts and prayers to Timothy as he moves through this difficult time of loss.
