LaPORTE—Today Speaker Leo W. Cavinder was elected Speaker of the House for the 2023rd Assembly of the House.
Today I am proud to announce that I have been re-elected as Speaker of the House for the 2023rd Assembly. It is of great honor to be able to coutiune to serve you and the trust you have placed in me.
Due to my attendance at Indiana University Bloomington this fall, I will not be able to do the duties of Speaker effectivly for a full term. Therefore, when it comes time, I will resign as Speaker of the House and another election will be held this fall for the Speakership.
In the meantime, I am proud to be your Speaker again and working with each one of you to ensure effective solutions to the problems we face.
